Joe is an experienced, results-oriented leader in nonprofit digital transformation and digital workplace optimization. He helps nonprofit organizations fully embrace digital by working horizontally and vertically within an organization to ensure alignment between what is being produced and the expected goals and outcomes for the initiatives and projects.
Joe has led the development and implementation of hundreds of innovative digital programs, products, and services by collaborating with program staff, development, science advisors and researchers, constituents, and agencies to translate strategy into project plans and ultimately tangible solutions.
Joe transitioned to digital work in 2000 when he joined the Partnership for a Drug-Free America, known at that time for their advertising PSAs. Under his leadership, the Partnership became the leading digital publisher and innovator in the substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment areas. He led the evolution and major expansion of the organization’s digital platform and content strategy from a single site to an extensive suite of web properties supported by multimedia content. In addition, he developed one of the first online parent support communities. His work received several Webby honors, among other industry awards.
In 2012, Joe started his digital consulting practice to focus solely on helping clients adapt and leverage digital tools, practices and standards in program development, marketing, and fundraising. Joe has worked with nonprofits of every size across several sectors, including health, human services, industry associations, economic development, and the arts.
