Hi, I’m Joe Keenan, a digital strategist and producer originally from Red Bank, NJ, and now residing in the quirky city of Hudson, NY, about 2 hours north of New York City in the Hudson Valley in the shadow of the Catskill Mountains.
I work with nonprofit organizations of every size to manage and optimize their digital operations, content assets, and marketing programs.
I’m a strong believer in the importance of keeping the focus on outcomes to ensure all digital initiatives and media have a strategic purpose. So, when working with nonprofit teams, my work is always influenced by and focused on key goals and outcomes, typically:
- Targeting the right audiences
- Leading people to deeper involvement with the cause
- Increasing loyal followers, volunteers and donors
- Helping nonprofit marketing and development teams thrive by removing barriers and decreasing friction
As organizations apply digital solutions across the enterprise, aka “digital transformation”, there is an even greater need for digital roles to connect the dots and interact with all stakeholders — business leaders, constituents, caseworkers, developers, vendors — all involved to get the job done.
I serve in one or more of these roles in nearly all of my engagements:
As a digital producer, I manage the development, growth, and optimization of websites, microsites, campaign landing pages, and web and mobile applications.
As a digital marketer, I collaborate with marketing and fundraising teams to develop, implement, and measure campaigns to drive engagement and online giving.
As a martech project manager, I identify and manage the execution of marketing and communications technology — CRMs, email marketing tools, project management and collaboration tools — to help teams focus on what matters and be more effective.
